Christian Bautista Wins 1st Elan Awards by McJIM

The result of the 2013 Elan Awards were announced yesterday in a media press conference in Timog, Quezon City where celebrity and singer Christian Bautista was declared as the winner representing the "Modern Filipino Gentleman" after online citizens made their votes count.

The finalists were chosen from a lengthy list of entertainment, fashion, sports, music, and public service personalities nominated by Facebook users at the McJIM Classic Leather Official Facebook Fan Page where the basic requirements include being a Filipino and must be 23 to 40 years of age at the start of the search last May 1, 2013.
Christian Bautista was awarded the prestigious Élan Award trophy, designed by acclaimed contemporary Filipino artist Igan D’Bayan; 100,000 pesos; and a year’s supply of McJIM Classic Leather products. The Élan Awards will also donate 100,000 pesos to Bautista’s charity of choice, World Vision.

The finalists were chosen by a celebrity panel of judges that included society columnist Tim Yap; actor and top male model Victor Basa; and radio and TV personality Sam YG based on the three criteria of Elegance of Style; Manners and Etiquette; and Accomplishment.
