Black & In Style: Fabio Ide Paints the Pool Club Black

Hello Manila!

AXE Black Ambassador Fabio Ide, together with co-ambassador Sam YG, and teammates Alex Habaluyas, Marie Shindo and Franco Saycon, recently turned the Palace Pool Club black – as they launched their pop up bar-lounge. They transformed the venue from its usual EDM scene into something designed for the bespoke gentleman in mind.

The first in a series of Axe Black pop-up bars, Fabio Ide’s lounge launch boasted of themed cabanas inspired by the light and refined fragrance of Axe Black. There was a haberdashery where guests availed of clean cuts and shaves and an atelier for customized crisp white shirts and pocket squares.

They also lounged in the cigar room where they were offered high-quality Cuban cigars and enjoyed the collection of specialty bars offering the finest curated liquor: a whiskey, champagne and tequila bar and an artisanal brewery.

Each type of liquor was specially paired with a menu prepared by Chef Mikko Reyes of the Hungry Hound and Café Naya.
In a world where everyone is overexposed, the coolest thing to do is to be understated,” Fabio Ide shared. “Sam, my team and I really wanted to showcase the full gentleman’s experience and give our guests the chance to live it. We feel that this is the embodiment of who the understated man is and what he likes. Less Effort, More Style.
The fragrance bar was definitely one of the highlights of the evening where guests experienced the latest Axe Black fragrance, which was balanced and clean from top to bottom, and evoked masculinity with a modern twist.

As guests indulged in thoughtfully crafted canapés, the courtyard was also decked out in communal tables where guests could converse over good food and drinks to a chill performance by funk-soul band Chillitees followed by the beats of Mars Miranda, DJ Euric, and Ace Ramos

Attendees of the main event also walked away with VIP cards that gave them exclusive access and perks to some of the most frequented places of the Axe Black gentleman.
